Americans for Safe Access - Fresno meets twice a month to plan and take action for local Fresno medical cannabis activism.

Fresno ASA is coming off of their success in getting Fresno County Supervisors to vote to implement the medical cannabis state ID cards, which went into effect the first week of December. Now they've got their sights set on implementation of the Attorney General Guidelines with regard to allowing nonprofit collectives and cooperatives. Come be a part of this exciting and growing movement in Central California.

Fresno ASA succeeded in forcing the county to implement the medical cannabis patient ID card program, and now they're moving on to force the local governments to implement even more meaningful and significant regulations!

The County of Fresno refuses to implement the State-mandated ID card program that would make it easier for law enforcement to identify legal medical cannabis patients. However, Supervisors expressed a desire to wait until the ruling in San Diego v. NORML, which would give indication as to whether the ID card program violated state law. In July, the ruling came back in favor of medical cannabis patients! Now its time to turn the pressure back on Fresno Supervisors! Come join!
