The City of Fresno Takes Action Against Legal Marijuana Dispensaries

The City Attorney for Fresno has taken Leagal action against four dispasaries in the city limits, claiming they are vilating zoning laws. According to reports, the city is planning to issue tempory restraining orders to all nine Fresno dispensaries. If the city were successful in its efforts, it would essentially mean an end to sales of safe, legal medical marijuana for the citizens of Fresno.

The attorney, William Logan, who represents while speaking to the ABC 30 News Team, is quoted as saying:

What are patients supposed to do go to bulldog gang members to buy their medicine? What other alternatives do we have?

Charlotte Hylton Knoczal, from the City Attorney's office, told the ABC 30 News Team:

The city attorney would have gone after marijuana clinics sooner, but when many applied for business tax forms they were not upfront about what they were selling."
